Right-sized software, with the math behind it

The software that fits your operations is often smaller and cheaper than the one you were pitched. We map how your business runs first, then treat software selection, configuration, and custom development as one decision instead of three. Whether the answer is a product you buy, a system you already own set up properly, or something we build, you'll see what each path costs before you commit.

In practice

What this looks like in practice

The right tool, not the biggest

We shortlist against your real process and your budget, then say plainly which option wins and why. Sometimes that's a small subscription rather than a platform rollout.

Software that matches your process

Instead of retraining your team around a vendor's assumptions, we configure or extend the system so it follows the way your work already flows.

Hours back from busywork

Workflow automation takes over the copying, chasing, and re-keying that eats hours every week. Small projects here often produce the largest change in a day's work.

AI applied where it pays

We aim it at narrow, checkable jobs: reading documents, drafting summaries, flagging exceptions. We measure the hours it gives back, and where it doesn't pay, we say so.

Scope

What we do

  • Buy-versus-build cost analysis
  • Configuration of systems you already own
  • Custom software development when nothing fits
  • Workflow automation across teams
  • Reporting and dashboards your team actually uses
  • Practical AI for documents and data entry
  • Role-based access and least-privilege setup
  • Training and rollout support

Engagement

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    Understand

We sit with the people doing the work and map the process end to end, including the spreadsheets and sticky notes holding it together.

  2. 02

    Recommend

The recommendation comes in writing and it is short: buy, configure, or build, with the cost, the timeline, and the trade-offs of each.

  3. 03

    Deliver

We implement in stages you can see, starting with the step that hurts most. Access rules and data handling get settled before anything goes live.

  4. 04

    Support

Once it's running we stay reachable for changes, training, and the next round of improvements. One-time project or ongoing relationship, your call.

FAQ

Common questions

Do we have to replace the software we already use?

Usually not. Most of our work starts with what you own: configuring it properly, extending it, or connecting it to the rest of your stack. Replacement is a recommendation we make only when the numbers clearly favor it, and we show you those numbers.

How much does a project like this cost?

It depends on scope, so the first step is small: a scoped assessment that gives you a written recommendation you can act on with or without us. Plenty of this work turns out to be closer to a few weeks than a multi-quarter program. Small projects often produce the largest change in day-to-day operations.

When is custom software the right answer?

When the off-the-shelf options force you to abandon a process that is genuinely your advantage, or when three years of licensing costs more than building it. Otherwise we buy. We don't sell our own software platform, so the recommendation follows the numbers.

Can you work with our existing vendor or IT provider?

Yes, and often. We can scope the work and hand it off, build alongside your provider, or own the piece nobody else covers. If the work touches how your systems talk to each other, see Systems Integration at /services/systems-integration/.

How do you keep our data safe during a rollout?

New applications get least-privilege access from the day they go in, test data instead of live records wherever that's possible, and a named owner for every credential. The infrastructure side is covered in Infrastructure & Security at /services/infrastructure-security/.
